  • Do I Need A Referral From My Physician Before My First Appointment?
NOPE! The state of Kansas is direct-access, meaning you can come directly to us for an evaluation. We love collaborating with your other healthcare providers, and on the rare occasion we need to request imaging or need you to be evaluated by your physician or referred to an orthopedic specialist we are happy to make this recommendation.
  • I Have Never Had Physical Therapy Or Athletic Training. What Should I Expect During My Plan Of Care At Restore Thrive?
Awesome! We love working with clients new to physical therapy and athletic training! If you come in on the physical therapy side we will incorporate a holistic program including lifestyle changes to help you decrease pain and optimize your healing. We will develop a home program that fits your schedule, is customized to your goals, and helps you improve your stability, strength, and mobility. If you come in on the athletic training side we will work with you to create a customized training program to help you become a stronger, more resilient, and durable version of yourself. You will have your provider's contact information for direct client-to-provider communication between sessions. Our model is collaborative and we encourage client feedback between sessions.
  • What Can I Expect In My First Appointment?
Regardless of whether you come in on the physical therapy side or the athletic training side of Restore/Thrive, the first visit with us is designed to allow our providers to take a thorough history. We take the time with you to understand the full spectrum of your movement and orthopedic history, your current symptoms, your current limitations, and, what your short and long-term goals are. We will perform a thorough physical therapy or movement assessment to determine the root cause of the issues that are causing your pain, affecting your performance, and/or preventing you from hitting your goals. We will work together in the first sessions to come up with a personalized plan that incorporates your goals and values and also works within your schedule. By the end of the first sessions with us, you will understand what’s holding you back from feeling and performing your best. Your provider will then recommend the best care plan that will help you reach your goals.
  • How Much Does It Cost?
Your 60-minute assessment is $225 We offer significant discounts for follow-up visits with the purchase of a package. At the end of your assessment, your provider will make a recommendation for which treatment plan is best for you and discuss the total cost of the plan of care. YOU’LL NEVER GET A SURPRISE BILLS! WE BELIEVE IN FULL COST TRANSPARENCY.
  • How Is Performance Training At Restore/Thrive Different Than Working With The Trainer At My Gym?
Typically, our clients on the performance side of Restore/Thrive are transitioning from rehab back to the gym or a sport. We also have clients who are new to exercise and don’t know what to do at the gym to help them meet their goals For all of our clients, we have multiple options to lower the barrier of entry to any gym, class, or exercise program they choose. We ensure our clients can complete the workouts or classes they want to participate in and help troubleshoot problems in exercise programming, movements, and workouts to maximize the client's progress and performance. We also provide a mobile option to help navigate your gym/class space in person. We love it when athletes come to us while preparing for upcoming sports or to fine-tune higher-end performance traits like speed or explosive power. We are here to foster your athleticism to achieve your goals. Our clients are not just looking to get sweaty, they all have a specific goal they are training for, and our plans are designed to EMPOWER YOU to know what to do in the gym and how to do it right.
  • Do You Take My Insurance?
To provide the highest quality of care Restore/Thrive is out-of-network with all insurance providers. What this means for you is that you will receive hour-long appointments each visit and you will have the same provider each visit who is invested in helping you meet your goals and not burnt out by seeing too many clients. We work WITH you to EMPOWER YOU to understand your body better and learn how to apply these lessons at home to reach your goals! Insurance contracts would force us to limit our time with our patients and limit the type of care we provide. We do not want another company that does not know YOU or YOUR GOALS to dictate the type of service we can provide. We accept all major credit cards, HSA, HRA, and FSA accounts. We can provide you a superbill upon request so you can submit a claim to your insurance company for possible reimbursement for services received at Restore/Thrive. Often clients are responsible for paying for physical therapy until they meet their deductible and it can be quite a bit cheaper to go to a cash-based clinic and you will have better outcomes!
