Episode #9 of the Healthy Kansas City Podcast is here!
Our guest this week, Luke Denney, is hilarious. He's also a coach and teacher at heart - and a lover of all things fitness! Coach Luke was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and is the son of one of the greatest coaches of all time, Mike Denney. He's also the youngest in a family of studs; his older brother and sister can both boast of fantastic athletic careers. Coach Denney was a three-sport athlete and graduate of Omaha Central High School (well, we assume he graduated). From there, Denney was blessed with the opportunity to play football at the University of Nebraska under the legendary Dr. Tom Osborne. Then, when Osborne retired, Coach made the decision to transfer to Rockhurst University and play goalkeeper for another legend - Dr. Anthony Tocco (the winningest soccer coach in NCAA history). After Denney’s attempts at a professional athletic career came up short, he pursued his next passions, teaching and coaching. While working with middle school and high school student-athletes, Denney came to understand his calling. Since then, Coach has poured his heart and soul into creating and providing a facility where he can truly provide “Fitness For Everyone”. He knows this is what God made him to do, and he takes great pride in the fact that he is able to do it every day.
Are you a fall sport athlete or stay-at-homer who’s itching to get out and compete? Our best advice is to listen to this week’s pod and learn how to do it right
